A popular music festival is returning to SPAC this weekend! On July 24 – 25, Caffe Lena @ SPAC will put local and global artists in the spotlight, diving into different genres of music and their influence on one another.
The festival’s theme is the roots of folk music, and six bands will perform at SPAC’s Charles R. Wood Stage. Caffe Lena @ SPAC will explore what folk music means, while combining jazz, soft rock, pop and even classical music.
The best part – this event is completely free! Grab a snack, a blanket, and a lawn chair for comfortable, spacious seating. Concessions are available for purchase, but you can also bring in your own food or drinks.

Time-Traveling Through Folk Music
Hear the sweet history of folk music through its flexibility within genres over the years.
Ground yourself in the traditional folk music performed by The Lost Radio Rounders on Saturday, July 24. The band will focus on early radio classics, gospel favorites, and string band curios. The Sea, The Sea and Jean Rohe Trio will then explore folk’s collaboration with rock and pop sounds, from classics to modern hits.
A New York City-based band, The Rad Trads branches out to explore jazz and pop with folk influence. You’ll hear some New Orleans brass music as well as R&B, Chicago blues and rock & roll.
You’ll then hear from a bluegrass band, the Grammy-nominated Kruger Brothers, who blend bluegrass, jazz, and classical into their own defining sound. Finally, listen to Indian music, Mali blues, and other grooves from the Kiran Ahluwalia Trio.
See You There!
Immerse yourself in the traditional folk music scene on July 24 and 25 at SPAC! Not only is it completely free, but it’s also one of the most popular events of the year in Saratoga. Get your friends and family, relax in a lawn chair, and enjoy folk music through the years at Caffe Lena @ SPAC.
