About this event
The Tang Teaching Museum hosts a free, outdoor concert series on the grounds of the museum during the summer. Upbeat on the Roof highlights regional musical talent in an array of styles. For its first 19 years, the Upbeat series took place on the museum’s roof; however its popularity necessitated a move to a larger space. These events are free and open to the public. In the case of inclement weather the series is held inside the museum.

About Upbeat on the Roof
Upbeat on the Roof is the Tang Museum’s a free, outdoor summer concert series on the grounds of the museum. The series highlights regional musical talent in an array of styles. Concerts take place on the lawn outside the Tang (we outgrew the roof!) every Thursday evening from July 9 through August 20 at 6 pm, and are free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to bring blankets, camping chairs, and their own food and drink!
Crafts on the Grass
Tang Art Educators offer crafts for kids at every concert, starting at 5:30 pm! A different craft will be available each week. All projects are suitable for children aged 5 and up, with adult supervision recommended. Materials will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
