My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at the Top Hill Motel. It was dirty with dead bugs and cobwebs in the corners of the room. The room was just poorly cared for. On Saturday morning I went to take a shower and the faucet handle fell off in my hand. I took it to the office where I was treated like a criminal. I was accused of breaking it purposfully. "You must have abused it". We were told that we would be held financially responsible for the repair. After much haggling we were told we would not be held accoutable for the repair but they did not fix the repair either. We went 2 days without a working shower. Management would not give us any restitution or refund. There were no other rooms available nearby so we were held hostage. We will never darken the doorstep of the Top Hill Motel again and I advise others to take heed also.

Mr. & Mrs. Flynt had reservations for Aug 6-7-8, 2009 (Thu, Fri, Sat). On Thursday evening Mrs. Flynt came in the office asking for more towels & returning the used ones. She was asked by the desk-clerk whether everything was O.K. She told the clerk that everything was O.K. She came in the office several other times to exchange towels. She did not have any complaints till Saturday morning.
On Saturday morning about 9-10 a.m., she came in the office with a broken handle. She was asked by the clerk that 'how did this happen?' Mrs. Flynt took it the wrong way that we were trying to accuse her of breaking the handle. She wanted to move to a different room but due to having no vacancy that time we did not have any other room to give it to her. But she insisted on a different room. We offered her a refund for Saturday & asked her that if she would like to go to another hotel, but she wanted a refund for Saturday night and she wanted to stay for free.
She was upset with us for not transferring them to a different room. She was told by the manager that if she does not return the key there will be no refunds. She kept the room key, stayed in the same room on Saturday night. That was the reason, she was denied any refunds. The room she stayed in, is the same room shown on the website. It is very nice, clean & roomy.
They were not charged for the repairs which came to about $400.00 (parts & labor). We have all the receipts for the proof.
