Saratoga Arts hosts enriching summer camps in Saratoga Springs, NY, as well as Teen Studio Workshops. These run every week from July 1st - August 30th, 2024. Sign up for one week or multiple weeks!
Why Summer at Saratoga Arts?
Summer camp at Saratoga Arts is the perfect way for kids to enjoy summer break. Our campers have access to the outdoors for artmaking, lunch/snack, and breaks to play!
In addition to the relaxed park setting, campers are immersed in the community arts center, seeing work by local artists in our gallery space and experiencing our specialized weaving and printmaking studios.
Our spaces are large, multi-purposed air-conditioned classrooms with lots of display room. Campers get to show their work on the walls throughout the week, culminating in a family art show on Friday!
We offer extensive materials and tools for campers to experiment with from fabric to paint to clay. Our teachers are working artists themselves!
Kids Art Camps: Ages 6-13
All visual arts camps have a Choice-Based/TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) art making approach that emphasizes YOUR CHILD IS THE ARTIST! They will have fun experimenting with various materials and techniques to create art inspired by their ideas, life experiences, and passions. It will be their choice of subject, materials, timeframe, and workflow.
Teen Studio Workshops: Ages 10-17
Specialized 1 Day workshops will run twice per week from 1:00-4:00 PM.
Offerings will include: Drawing, Painting, Collage, Mixed-Media, Printmaking, Sculpture, Jewelry, Fiber Arts, Fashion, Digital Photography, Digital Drawing & Painting, Animation, Graphic Design, and Portfolio.
All materials and tools will be provided for workshops.
2024 Camp Daily Schedule
Our art camps have options for both half day and full day camps for ages 6-8 and 9-13; pick what works best for your family!
- Half Day: 8:30-11:30 AM or Full Day: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM drop off
- 10:00-10:30 AM snack outdoors
- 11:30 AM half day camper pick-up
- 11:30 AM-12:30 PM lunch and outdoor play
- 2:00-2:30 PM snack outdoors
- 4:00 PM pick up
- Camp weeks will end with a Family Art Show: Fridays 3:30-4:00 PM
