Starting to make plans for fun events to attend this fall? Be sure to keep the first week of October wide open — the annual Saratoga Wine & Food Festival is returning to Saratoga Performing Arts Center with locally-made food and beverages, art, and live music. Activities begin Sunday, September 29, and culminate with the two-day main event on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.

The annual festival is usually held earlier in the season, making this the first time the celebration has centered around the harvest season. This year’s event focuses on sustainability and farm-to-table cuisine grown and prepared right here in the Capital Region.
From Sunday, September 29 through Thursday, October 3, enjoy the Cultivate Series, which will feature free events around Saratoga Springs. The series is a collaboration with Skidmore College, and will focus on issues of sustainability, healthy living, and environmentalism.
Then on Friday, October 4, attend the “Forest Magic”-themed Farm-to-Table Harvest Dinner at SPAC from 7 pm to 10 pm. Tickets cost $175 and you’ll enjoy an evening full of fine cuisine from expert chefs. If you’d like to have preferred seating and and the chance to taste some high-end wine, VIP tickets cost $225.
The festivities continue on Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm, with the Grand Tasting. Guests can enjoy sampling food curated by John Sconzo of Rascal & Thorn and Kim Klopstock of Lily and the Rose, tasting and attending seminars about wine from around the world, sampling locally-produced craft beverages, and watching demonstrations of sustainable cooking methods given by talented chefs. Tickets to the Grand Tasting cost $100; VIP tickets are $175.
Enjoy coming to SPAC for the arts? While at the Grand Tasting, attendees will also be able to enjoy live music, sculptures, and photography courtesy of Caffè Lena, The Hyde Collection, and photographer Terri-Lynn Pellegri, respectively.
In addition to a full weekend of great food, fine wine, and live music, attendees will be supporting SPAC’s efforts to bring music and dance to students. The annual festival is SPAC’s most important fundraiser for its educational programming, which now benefits over 38,000 kids annually.
The 2019 Saratoga Wine & Food Festival is designed by Colin Cowie Lifestyle and made possible in part by Mazzone Hospitality.
