The World Awareness Children's Museum brings the adventures and wonders of the world to your kid through interactive exhibitions, multicultural programs, and exciting events. Play games, hear stories, dance, shop, create a travel adventure, and more.

Hands-On Exhibits

  • ¡Hola, Mexico!: Farm, prepare and serve the diverse foods of Mexico
  • One World Gallery: unique art and artifacts
  • Kids Connect: interaction with computer programs
  • World Music: play interesting instruments like a balaphone or thumb piano
  • The Marketplace: shop at a Nigerian marketplace
  • Home and Family Life: learn about Japanese traditions at the Japanese Tea House
  • World Fashion: wear, role play, and admire clothing and costumes from around the world
  • Globe Theater: create your own performance with traditional dance steps
  • Count Me In: match coins and stamps from around the world to corresponding countries on a map
  • Experience Gallery: paddle through imaginary waters to win the Dragon Boat Race
  • Express Yourself Art Studio: provide your own artful expressions with art supplies

Museum Tours & Groups

  • Guided and self-guided tours available

  • Reservations required two weeks in advance for tours

Outreach Programs

  • The museum can bring interactive programs directly to your site
  • Designed for individual classrooms of up to 30 programs
  • Programs are interactive and group-work based
  • Include an art project to take home
  • Aligned with NYS Common Core curriculum 

Birthday Parties

International Youth Art Exchange Program

  • Permanent collection with over 7,000 pieces of original kids art from 81+ countries
  • Take a virtual tour of the artwork
  • Submit art and receive art in return
  • All participating artists receive Certificates of Recognition
