Pokémon Club @SSPL Launch Party

About this event

We are starting an official Pokémon Club with this open party: whether you play the games, collect the cards or watch the show, stop by to have fun with fellow fans. Open to children and their families. Registration is not required, but space is limited based on room capacity. This program was made possible through the American Library Association's partnership with The Pokémon Company International.

What to Expect:

• A designated table for children to trade cards. There will be posted guidelines, but all trades must be reversible and the library is not liable for trades; adult supervision is strongly recommended.
• Designated tables for casual card gameplay.
• A designated table for memory game.
• Designated tables for coloring and other worksheet activities.
• During the last 25 minutes we will show an episode of the Pokémon TV series on our projector screen.

Sensory Information:

• There will be music playing and noise from activities/episode showing.
• Room may be moderately to very busy, depending on number of attendees.

Supports:

• Participants can move freely around the room, and leave early or take breaks as needed.
• Librarian will be on hand for any questions or concerns.
