Experience the 2024 Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course
Due to ongoing construction at the new and re-imagined Belmont Park, the 2024 Belmont Stakes will make its way to Saratoga Race Course on Saturday, June 8. The entire four-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will take place from Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9.
There will be no changes to Saratoga's traditional 40-day summer meet, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 11 through Monday, September 2, 2024.
The 156th edition of the Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets will feature a $2,000,000 purse, an increase from last year's $1,500,000. It will also be contested at 1 1/4 miles instead of 1 1/2 miles.
This is the third leg of the Triple Crown, which has been providing racing fans with memorable moments since its inception in 1867.

Racetrack Policies:
The New York Racing Association, Inc. has announced that on-track policies will reflect many protocols ordinarily in place at Belmont Park. These include:
- Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted to be carried into Saratoga Race Course
- Coolers are permitted but must be no larger than 12" x 18" - One per guest
- Folding chairs (one per guest), outside food, and soft drinks are permitted
The Belmont Will Return in 2025
Construction is expected to continue at the Belmont Park, and it has been confirmed that the Belmont will run at the Saratoga Race Course for both 2024 and 2025!
