2025 Saratoga County Fair Preview: New Attractions & Returning Favorites
There’s something about a county fair that just feels like summer. The scent of funnel cakes in the air, the distant sound of laughter from the midway, and the hum of a tractor pull in the background—it all brings back that timeless feeling of sunshine and simple joy. That’s why we’re excited to share a preview of what’s ahead for the 2025 Saratoga County Fair, returning to Ballston Spa from Tuesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 27.
We spoke with the fair organizers to get a sneak peek at what’s new this year, and trust us—this year’s fair is bringing even more rides, entertainment, and fun for all ages.
Discover New Attractions for 2025
The Saratoga County Fair has always been about tradition, but this year's event will bring a burst of new energy with several never-before-seen acts and experiences.
Leading the lineup is Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel, a quirky crowd favorite making her Saratoga debut. Joining her are Captain Tall Tale, a roving storyteller, and magician Alyx Hilshey, whose illusions are sure to surprise and delight.

While 2025 brings plenty of new entertainment to the fairgrounds, longtime fairgoers will also be glad to see the return of crowd favorites like Master of the Chainsaw, BMX stunt shows, Robin’s Heavenly Birds, and the always-popular Kangaroos.
Big Entertainment Hits the Grandstand
The grandstand is always a crowd magnet at the fair. Brand-new for 2025 is Dynasty Wrestling, bringing high-energy action and plenty of dramatic flair.
Returning crowd favorites include the Demolition Derby on Tuesday and Sunday, and the NYTPA Tractor Pulls on Friday, keeping the engines roaring and audiences cheering.
Celebrating Agriculture, Then and Now
Agricultural tradition is central to the Saratoga County Fair. Visitors can watch livestock competitions, equestrian events, and the always-popular Mobile Dairy Experience.
This year also introduces a major change: Standardbred horses competing at the fair can now earn points for the United States Trotting Association (USTA)—a big deal in the harness racing world!
Interactive Fun for All Ages
New for 2025 are two exciting, interactive contests:
- The Instagram Trail Challenge: Explore the fairgrounds, capture photos at designated hotspots, and post for a chance to win tickets to next year’s fair.
- The Horseshoe Challenge: Solve trivia clues scattered throughout the grounds. Learn about local agriculture and win daily prize baskets!
Other pop-up competitions include ice cream and pie eating contests, chalk art, and even speed knitting and crocheting. There's something for every age and interest.
Savor New Flavors & Sweet Treats
You won’t want to skip the food this year! The fair is welcoming seven new food vendors, including seafood, gourmet burgers, cinnamon buns, coffee, Asian specialties, rice bowls, and gourmet apples.
Fan-favorite treats are also back, like Maple Milkshakes, fried dough, and sausage sandwiches. Whether you're craving something sweet, savory, or somewhere in between, you'll find it here.
Historic Crafts & Local Talent
Craftsmanship is on display at Conservation Village, featuring first-time exhibitors like John Bielik, a historic trades artisan showcasing paper marbling. You'll also find live demos of barn loom weaving, spinning, pottery, and blacksmithing.
These exhibits bring history to life and offer a quieter, more hands-on side of the fair.
Are There Still Rides at the Saratoga County Fair?
Absolutely! The fairgrounds will be packed with carnival rides and games for every age group—from kiddie rides to thrillers that’ll leave you breathless.

Tune Into the 2025 Music Lineup
The Saratoga County Fair music lineup is a mix of newcomers and fan favorites.
Catch the Beatin the Odds Band on Tuesday, River Country Band on Wednesday, and the return of Skeeter Creek on Thursday.
Friday features Electric Rodeo, and Big Sky Country brings the energy on Saturday. Wrapping up Sunday is The Down Home Boys featuring Dona Federico.

This year’s fair runs from Tuesday, July 22 to Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, NY.
