The Saratoga Film Forum
The Saratoga Film Forum is a not-for-profit organization that brings a wide variety of quality films to downtown Saratoga Springs.
Wildlife, directed by Paul Dano (actor in Little Miss Sunshine and others), and starring Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal, will be screened at the Spring Street Gallery at 110 Spring Street. Wildlife is Dano's directorial debut and the critics are going crazy over this film, which is based on a book of the same name by Richard Ford.
The film is being screened on December 6th, 7th, and 8th, and all screenings are at 7:30pm.
History of Saratoga Film Forum
In 1993, a group of Saratogians recognized a need within the community for an in-town movie theater that would screen quality, hard-to-find films and promote the art of cinema in Saratoga Springs.
The Saratoga Film Forum typically offers alternative movies, including independent films, classic American cinema, foreign films, independent films, documentaries, shorts, and video productions by local and nationally known filmmakers. They also host regular panels, forums, and workshops with producers, directors, writers, and other members of the filmmaking community - this promotes access for other local groups to the medium of film as a way of educating, informing, and generating discussion about local and national issues of concern to our community.
