6 Newsy Updates From Around the Region
New Trail System Opens at Pitney Meadows Community Farm

Pitney Meadows Community Farm is the place to be this spring. Not only is their Farm Stand open 7 days a week offering fresh produce and goods, but they recently opened their new trail system. Visitors are welcome to stop by and walk or run on the new half-mile loop or the 1.7-mile loop around the perimeter of their fields. The trails are open from dawn to dusk, and leashed canine friends can come too!
Saratoga PLAN Has Opened the Glowegee Creek Trails
Earlier this month, Saratoga PLAN opened the new Glowegee Creek Trails in Galway to the public for hiking. It’s three miles round trip from end to end, although shorter treks are possible. The Glowegee Creek flows along a portion of the trails, and a geological fault line runs through the site.
The Glowegee Creek Trails are open from sunrise to sunset, and trailheads and parking areas are available at both the southern terminus on Galway Road (County Route 45) and at the northern terminus of the trails (Old Mill Road).
Ledge Rock Hill Winery Announces Reopening of Tasting Room
After closing for the winter season, Ledge Rock Hill Winery in Corinth has announced that their tasting room will reopen on Saturday, April 17. Their hours of operation will be Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00pm-5:00pm, and limited seating will be available. Outdoor seating is first come, first served, but you can reserve a table in their Barrel Room.
Two Saratoga County Golf Courses Reopen This Week
Are you ready to play some golf? Although many of the region’s golf courses have already reopened for the season, some are doing it this week. In fact, both Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs and Brookhaven Golf Course in Porter Corners are officially opening on Friday, April 16. Book your tee time online and prepare to hit the green.
Tang Teaching Museum Launches New Project – All Together Now
In collaboration with local partner institutions, the Tang Teaching Museum in Saratoga Springs has launched a regional collection sharing project called All Together Now. As part of the project, the Tang Teaching Museum is displaying furniture, tools, and textiles from the Shaker Museum and a survey of postcard collages by Ellsworth Kelly.
Their partner institutions will feature exhibitions and selections of work from the Tang collections, including many recently acquired paintings, photographs, and sculptures. Each partner institution will offer special public visiting hours during the course of the exhibitions. Although the Tang is currently closed to the public, you can take a look at their exhibitions online.
Local Volunteer Organization Opens a Secondhand Furniture Shop

Rebuilding Together Saratoga County is a local volunteer organization and nonprofit that works year round to build healthy neighborhoods and ensure Saratoga County homeowners can live independently in safe homes.
To support this mission, the organization has opened the ReShop for the Good at 132 Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa, which sells secondhand furniture and home goods. Whether you’re buying or donating at the store, your generosity will help Rebuilding Together Saratoga County assist people throughout our community.
