The Battles of Saratoga 250th Anniversary Commemorations
This monumental Columbus Day weekend event marks the grand 250th anniversary of the American victory at Saratoga. Living historians will march, camp, and interpret near the exact ridges, fields, and landscapes that shaped the course of the American Revolution, balancing immersive time in the field with high-quality public engagement.
Visitors can explore the surrounding Saratoga Revolutionary Experience—where world-changing heritage meets world-class hospitality—to discover locally made food and drink, retail shops, museums, and scenic autumn landscapes across Saratoga County.
Five-Day Anniversary Schedule
- Thursday, October 7th: Living history participant check-in and historic camp setup.
- Friday, October 8th: Student Engagement Day featuring specialized living history programs.
- Saturday, October 9th: Public reenactments of the first Battle of Saratoga at Freeman’s Farm.
- Sunday, October 10th: Public reenactments continue, highlighting the second Battle of Saratoga at Bemus Heights.
- Monday, October 11th: Final morning in camp and departure from the encampment.
