Why Is the Philadelphia Orchestra at SPAC So Special?

The Philadelphia Orchestra has been the heartbeat of SPAC since its opening in 1966. To honor this 60-year legacy, the 2026 season features Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the very same masterpiece that opened the Orchestra’s first-ever season at the amphitheater.

This year also honors America’s 250th Anniversary, weaving themes of history, unity, and the "Seasons" throughout the three-week residency.
