The Circus Café on Broadway in Saratoga Springs NY will be getting a new neighbor – The Crown Grill at Circus Café!
The owners of the Circus Café, a fanciful French, circus-themed café featuring American fare, Christel and Colin MacLean, purchased the adjacent space, formerly Russo’s, and announced that the new grill will be an expansion of Circus Café, but with its own tone.
The Crown Grill at Circus Café, located at 390 Broadway in Saratoga, will have more of an opulent atmosphere with rich wall coverings, mood lighting, and oriental rugs.
The café and grill will each have their own signature dishes, while guests will see some slight similarities in the menus. While the Circus Café features popcorn and cotton candy, the Crown Grille at Circus Café will feature breads and specialty desserts.
The Crown Grille will also feature a full bar and extensive wine list! The lunch menu will emphasize signature burgers, sandwiches, and salads; while the dinner menu will include fresh seafood and steaks, handmade pasta, and fresh vegetables. The MacLeans hired Executive Chef Steve Kerzner, whose training and extensive culinary background in casual and upscale dining make him a perfect fit for the Crown Grille.
The Crown Grille at Circus Café will be accessible to the Circus Café in several areas, and there will also be a spot in the back of the restaurant opened for catering, larger parties and special events. The kitchen on the Crown Grille side is much larger and updated than the on the Circus Café side, so the owners plan to have the kitchens share with each other, the smaller for prep and the larger for cooking.
May 1, 2013 is the target opening date for the Crown Grille at Circus Café in Saratoga Springs. The hours for the Crown Grille will be the same as the Circus Café, and will be open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner, and late-night bar!
