New York State’s Free Fishing Weekend: If you’ve ever wanted to try ice fishing, then this is the weekend to do it. February 13-14 is a Free Fishing Weekend in New York State, which means the requirement for a fishing license is waived for these two days.

Flurry’21: Dancing in the Cloud: The annual Flurry Festival is going virtual this year! In place of the traditional in-person event, Flurry’21 will feature over 150 Zoom sessions of music, dance, workshops, social hours, and more from February 12-14. Tickets are available now.
UUCSS Wine & Chocolate Coffeehouse Auction: On Saturday, February 13, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs will host a Wine & Chocolate Coffeehouse Auction on Zoom. Emcee Peter Marino will preside over a mini auction and the entertainment, which will include music, storytelling, and more. They will be auctioning off 10 bottles of wine and 10 delicious desserts.

SPAC Unveils Dance Performance By Local Fourth Graders
Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) has recently unveiled “Too Darn Hot,” a video featuring 104 fourth grade students from Charlton Heights Elementary School who participated in SPAC’s public-school dance residency. The students performed Broadway-style choreography to the show tune “Too Darn Hot” from the musical Kiss Me, Kate. The performance is available to watch online and at Stewart’s Shops in Saratoga County from February 8-22.

Saratoga Shakespeare Company Releases New Online Programming
To bring the arts into people’s homes, the Saratoga Shakespeare Company has kicked off “Ghostlight,” their new online programming series for 2021. The first program is “Sonnet Man,” which highlights brilliant rap artist Devon Glover, who brings Shakespeare’s love sonnets to young audiences in a genre they know and love – hip hop.
